Gain creative confidence

With heartfelt photography education, courses and retreats.

As a photographer with more than a decade of experience behind me, I’m here to support and guide you as you expand your photography knowledge and chase your own business dreams.

It’s totally possible to create with confidance.  I’m going to SHOW YOU HOW .

N

YOU’LL LEARN TO REALLY SEE

Learning about photography from the heart is all about seeing what’s beneath the surface, exploring the beauty of what’s in front of you and translating that into photographs.
N

CAPTURE PHOTOS MINDFULLY

Sure we’ll cover technical skills and aspects, but this is more than pointing and shooting and capturing a technically perfect photograph. This is photography that’s fun and creativity for the sake of creating.

N

EXPRESS YOUR TRUE SELF

Never apologise for who you are or how you see the world. My methods will encourage you to embrace who you really are and infuse your art with what makes you YOU. Because your perspective is truly unique and worth sharing!

You can LEARN how to take BETTER photos and it doesn’t necessarily come down to TECHNIQUE.

AS A CREATIVE SOUL, I KNOW CREATING FOR CREATION’S SAKE IS WHAT REALLY SETS YOUR HEART ALIGHT.

Maybe you’ve dabbled with photography for a while now, you might have only just picked up a camera for the first time yesterday, or you’ve been taking photographs for years and might even consider yourself a professional. Because photos are the medium that gets you going and you love creating something beautiful with a camera.

But there’s one small problem… your photos just aren’t quite hitting the mark.

You feel like there’s something missing. That there’s something more you could be doing to create better photographs. But you can’t quite put your finger on what that is. It’s ok. You’re not going crazy. There is an answer.

Does it FEEL like your PHOTOGRAPHY is missing something?

YOU’RE NOT ALONE

Here’s what I know… when you first start learning photography, you immerse yourself in the HOW of it all. What’s an f stop? What does ISO mean? How do you get that background blur and the subject in sharp focus? At some point the numbers and technical aspects start to make sense and, before you know it, you’re taking perfect, technically-proficient photos.
But does it feel like something is still missing?

For me that realisation came when I started photographing weddings. I realised that digging deeper into what makes a photograph was all about capturing that emotion I was seeing in front of my camera. It was an eye-opening moment. And it’s this I want to share with you.

N

You feel like there’s something missing in your work

But you can’t pinpoint what it is or how to start capturing it.
N

You want your photos to mean something

But how do you go about doing that?
N

You’re frustrated and ready to give up

You feel like you’ve tried everything, all the techniques and skills, and you’re still not getting where you want to be.

THAT’S WHY

THIS SPACE IS FOR YOU

If you’re ready to dig deeper into the art, heart and soul of photography, then you’re in the right place.

Because I believe anyone can learn about photography and it doesn’t have to be done in a technically perfect way.

This education space is all about supporting and guiding you through the process of learning or improving your photography skills in a way that’s from the heart and full of fun. Whatever your age or background, whatever your experience, enjoy the beauty of capturing the everyday because you love the medium of photography.

“You have changed how I think about surroundings, light and framing.

I found myself looking at familiar scenes in new ways and it totally reset my thinking.”

When what you need is time to rest and restore, or to immerse yourself with a community of like minded photographers, a photography retreat is the place to be. Future retreats are in the works, so please sign up to the mailing list to be the first to hear about them.

Need something more?

GROUP MENTORING

When you’ve done the DIY courses and feel like you’ve attended every workshop going, it can feel like there’s nothing else out there that can help you.

It’s probably time you found your community. A group of fellow photographers who understand the experiences and difficulties you go through in your business and also need something more.

And with that community, a guide and mentor to support you through your challenges. Someone who has been where you are, who gets what you’re going through and someone who has tried and tested all the possible ways and means out there. An honest, hopeful and friendly voice to answer your questions. And an experienced photographer who can show you what has and hasn’t worked for them over the years.

Group mentoring will be on offer soon.

If you’d like to know more, drop me a message and let’s have a chat about it.

I rarely go out now without my camera

…in case I see something that might make a good photo and I’m learning to look at things in different ways.

IT’S TIME

To take your photography to the next level.

Photography education was a little bit different when I first started out. There was a lot of emphasis on the how of photography and making sure everything was technically perfect. It took me a while to understand that a technically proficient photograph is only one part of what makes a great image.

Bringing in emotion, experience and a deeper level of meaning and art into photography is more about looking at yourself and understanding who you are and it’s this (along with some of those technical skills) that I want to bring to the table. I want to help you level up your photography and step into creating the kind of images you’ve been wanting to create for what seems like forever.

So, are you ready to take even better photographs than you’re already taking now?
